This finely detailed bird art print features a pair of mallee ringneck parrots, Barnardius barnardi, also known as Barnard's parakeet, an Australian native. Originally illustrated by John Gould in the mid 19th century, the bird exhibits bright green plumage with a yellow collar and underband. The male body is a vibrant blue-back whilst that of the female is a duller green.
