This finely detailed bird art print features a pair of red-tailed black cockatoos, Calyptorhynchus banksii, also known as the Banksian or Bank's cockatoo, an Australian native. Originally illustrated by John Gould in the mid 19th century, the perspex enhances their striking, glossy black plumage, the male distinguished by a band of deep vermillion across the tail feathers. Mounted at the front of an innovative, deep, backless box frame, the perspex print generates stunning shadowcasting and 3D depth, whilst the raw timber lends a contemporary, organic finish.
