This finely detailed bird art print features a family of kookaburras, Dacelo gigantea, also known as the great brown kingfisher, an Australian native. Originally illustrated by John Gould in the mid 19th century, they have a touch of turquoise on their wings and are commonly sighted, and easily recognised by their laughing call, throughout Eastern Australia. Mounted at the front of an innovative, deep, backless box frame, the perspex print generates stunning shadowcasting and 3D depth, whilst the raw timber lends a contemporary, organic finish.
